Well, according to famed Irish comedian, Dara O’Briain, that is.
Cue Don LaFontaine style movie trailer voice: “In a world, where rivalries are settled… with complicated and ridiculously over-the-top “dance-off”s… which have been made illegal… ONE MAN… ONE DESTINY… etc. etc.”
From the writer and director of “You Got Served” (hahahahaha… sorry.)… it’s BOOGIE TOWN!
Watched “W.” recently – the Oliver Stone biopic of George W. Bush.
I thought Josh Brolin was excellent in it, taking on Bush’s mannerisms and foibles brilliantly, but I thought the film overall, while good, was a little too sympathetic to the ex-president and could have taken a tougher line.
Powell came out of it well, Rumsfeld came across badly, while Cheney seemed to be quite the conniving little shit…
I was also slightly surprised that the film didn’t really deal much with 9/11… but anyway…
Moving on – today I saw this photo on the New York Times web site (linked with a story about a bit of a falling out between the boss and his ‘vice’)… and one thing struck me…

… and that was that it has to be the oddest and freakiest photo of Dick Cheney I’ve ever seen!… and most unlikely photos to be taken, in fairness… so I’ve asked on twitpic for some good captions… and so far so good
Keep ‘em coming! (and yes, you’ll need to be logged in to twitter to comment there)
It’s 2pm, I’m just awake a short while, and I’m … in recovery. I had a great night last night and all (mostly anyway) thanks to UnaRocks (who I met and chatted with briefly – and yes, she does rock!).
The movie (with Paul Rudd, Seann William Scott and the extraordinarily hot Elizabeth Banks) was just bloody hilarious – everyone should go see it when it goes on general release on Jan 1st. I don’t think a minute passed during watching it where I wasn’t laughing out loud. Here’s the (rude) trailer:
XXXMas Soundcheck was… bonkers… and great fun! It took me ages to not be the guy standing in the corner talking to nobody (and actually “tweeting” on my mobile). Una herself gives a pretty accurate summary of the night here. There were photos but I didn’t get into any of them.
There’s not much more I can say… until my brain decides to start working again. Crackin’ night!

Some really big and highly anticipated movies coming out in 2009…
Star Trek, The Watchmen, Wolverine, Angels & Demons, Transformers 2, Sin City 2, … and then there’s THIS:… “Terminator: Salvation” – due to bring to a close the apocalyptic story of cyborgs versus humans, 25 years after it started with “The Terminator” – and this fan-made teaser trailer (which admittedly does include a lot of old footage – but it’s old footage that fits perfectly) has me looking forward to it immensely.
Arnie’s not going to be in T4 and there’s no travelling back in time this time around but (as the Wikipedia article shows) there’s still a pretty strong cast, and the story is pure and simple – the battle for survival in the war with the machines – so I’d still be hopeful that they’ll churn out a quality sequel this time.
Loving this… dunno who made it, but great work, all the same:

Yes, it’s a piss-take of the Quantum of Solace (new James Bond movie) poster. Yes, that’s Rick Astley in it. (Click for larger version)
Here’s the trailer for the actual movie by the way – looks like fun!
Oh, and this guy wants to do the theme tune… not a bad effort!
