What they searched for when they found me

I suppose I might as well take time out to examine just what people were searching for when they found my little blog… according to the wonderful Google Analytics, the list of search terms reads as follows:

  1. dundalk blog
  2. coca cola
  3. tekken 5
  4. mark deary
  5. “pete johnson” “the receptors”
  6. pat ingoldsby
  7. harvey norman limerick
  8. paul stokes pat kenny
  9. “drama for foreign people”
  10. dublin devils gfsn

None of the above really surprise me (apart maybe from no. 10… what’s all that about?). Numbers 4 and 5 are people I’ve interviewed on my radio show (which returns in August) and there fore mentioned in blogs. Numbers 6, 7 and 8 I’ve blogged directly about.

No. 2 I’ve blogged about twice and No. 1 – well… this is a blog, and it’s from Dundalk… although I’m sure most searchers are looking for the more notorious and controversial “Dundalk Blog” (a.k.a. the El Paso Times) which is now, apparently, closed… which is just as well. Good riddance to it too.

Links from Google account for the vast majority of the viewers to this site, with referrals from boards.ie coming in second. 3rd in the list was direct visitors (i.e.: they just tapped ‘blog.niallok.com’ into their address bar) with referrals from Michele Neylon’s blog coming 4th… which surprised me – I must reference and link to him more!
